About Us

We are a husband and wife duo. We’ve been playing 80s music since, well, the 80s. We’re not a tribute act, we just haven’t changed our set list much in 25 years.

Pete sings lead, plays guitar, keys and produces all the music.  Kelly is the live show MC, sings lead and plays percussion. We have tried playing in bands, but haven’t been able to find musicians that share our passion for 80s synth pop, so now it’s just the two of us. Besides, in the 80s, many acts were just like us – Eurythmics, The Thompson Twins, Tears For Fears, Pet Shop Boys, Human League etc.

We play around 100 of the biggest 80s synth pop hits (I’ll post a list later). The music is very authentic. All the synthesizers used are actual vintage hardware synths, not computer “plugins”. For a while, we carried a big rack full of vintage synths and used them live, but that has become impractical. So now the music is recorded in to a laptop. Much easier!

Pete meticulously researches each song and is usually able to recreate the parts using the same types of vintage synthesizers used in the original recordings, such as the lead synth and bass from “Take On Me”, or the bass sound from “Take My Breath Away”, or the synth lead in “Holiday”, or the vintage sampler sounds used in “Shout”. All the music is transcribed note-for-note from the original recordings. There are many years of programming work in those 100 songs.

We do lots of harmony and “tag team” singing, and really enjoy performing. We have a few Youtube videos, here’s Girls Jus Wanna Have Fun
